Just a couple pictures to try to capture the beauty of the bitter cold we are having here in Anchorage and all around the state of Alaska for the past week or so. The sun is shining so beautiful and yet it is 10-20 BELOW ZERO here at our home. My walks with Angel, have gotten considerably shorter these last few weeks, since it's been so cold. Her little feet get pretty cold pretty fast. It seems like it takes me longer to put on all my winter gear than it does the amount of time we are able to stay outside right now. :o)
Other than trying to stay warm, we haven't been doing to much. Alaska, is just starting their 50th year as a state, and there were lots of activities down town the last couple days, but we did not go.
I am looking forward to getting some WARM sunshine later this month. My sister, Glenda and her hubby, Donald, and Tom and I will be going on a week cruise out of New Orleans starting the 18th of Jan. through the 25th. We are celebrating our 30th and 35th anniversaries this year in March, so we thought we would start early. Sounds good to me!!! I'm afraid I will get burnt pretty good, if I'm not careful. We need sun glasses to stop the glare of my white legs when I put on my shorts. Ha!!!
